VA Benefits Certification Process
Westcliff University processes VA education benefits on a session-by-session basis. While two academic sessions generally make up one semester, VA enrollment certifications are processed separately for each session in accordance with applicable VA requirements.
Students must submit a Request for VA Benefits Certification Form for every session in which they wish to use their VA education benefits. Submission of a request for one session does not automatically request certification for the following session.
For students whose VA benefits pay tuition and fees directly to Westcliff University, such as eligible Chapter 33 students, tuition and fees are reported to the VA according to the applicable certification timeline for each session. This means tuition and fee payments for the second session of a semester may be received later than payments for the first session.
The Military and Veteran Affairs team provides guidance throughout the certification process and communicates with students if additional information or documentation is required.
Complete the Request for VA Benefits Certification Form once for each session in which VA education benefits are requested.
