Installing the Zoom Add-on

  1. Open Google Calendar in your web browser and sign in to your Google account
  2. Click the Settings icon (gear icon) in the top-right corner
  3. Select Get add-ons from the dropdown menu
  4. In the Google Workspace Marketplace, search for Zoom for Google Calendar
  5. Click on the Zoom for Google Calendar add-on from the search results
  6. Click Install and follow the prompts to grant necessary permissions
  7. Click Allow to authorize Zoom to access your Google Calendar
  8. Once installed, you'll see a confirmation message - click Done

Using the Zoom Add-on to Schedule Meetings

  1. Create a new event in Google Calendar by clicking on a date/time or using the Create button
  2. Look for the Zoom icon or Add Zoom Meeting option in the event details (usually on the right side)
  3. Click the Zoom icon to automatically add Zoom meeting details to your event
  4. The Zoom meeting link and dial-in information will be added to the event description
  5. Add attendees, set the meeting time, and configure other event details as needed
  6. Click Save to create the calendar event with the Zoom meeting included

Notes

  • You must have both a Zoom account and Google account to use this add-on
  • If you don't see the Zoom add-on after installation, try refreshing your browser or logging out and back in
  • The add-on will use your default Zoom meeting settings (password, waiting room, etc.)
  • Meeting participants will receive the Zoom link in their calendar invitation
  • You can also access the add-on from existing calendar events to add Zoom meetings retroactively
  • Some organizations may restrict the installation of third-party add-ons due to security policies
