Military and Veterans Orientation

Westcliff University offers a mandatory virtual Military and Veteran Orientation for students utilizing VA education benefits. The orientation provides important information to help military-affiliated students understand University processes, VA requirements, and the resources available throughout their academic journey.

Orientations are hosted virtually via Zoom during Week 8 of each session, in preparation for the upcoming session. Three different orientation dates are offered for every new session start to provide students with multiple opportunities to attend.

Orientation topics include:

  • VA education benefits and the certification process
  • Request for Benefits Certification requirements
  • VA tuition and fee payment timelines
  • Federal financial aid and VA benefit processing
  • University policies and academic expectations
  • Adding, dropping, and withdrawing from courses
  • Student responsibilities when using VA education benefits
  • Military and Veteran Affairs resources and support services
  • Veteran Services Advisor support
  • Important updates or changes that may affect VA students

Orientation Invitations

Orientation invitations are system-generated and sent to eligible students via their Westcliff University email. Students are responsible for regularly monitoring their University email for Military and Veteran Affairs communications.

Students using VA education benefits who do not receive an orientation invitation should contact the Military and Veteran Affairs Department at military@westcliff.edu for assistance.

Students who are unable to attend one of the three scheduled orientation sessions should contact their Veteran Services Advisor to review the required information.
