Please be advised that SEVP will close students’ SEVP portal accounts 6 months after the student’s OPT end date. Students who were on OPT will receive an email about the closure notice 5 months after the OPT end date, and a second email on the day the access ends.
The SEVP Portal allows students on OPT to report contact information and employer information to SEVP without relying upon their IA advisors or DSO. After the end of the OPT period, all of these updates will be made by submitting the appropriate request form to the university via the University Forms page: https://www.westcliff.edu/life-at-westcliff/student-services/forms/. Your IA advisor/DSO will then update on your SEVIS record accordingly.
Please be assured that closure of your SEVP portal won’t impact the Active status of your SEVIS record unless notified otherwise, your International Affairs Advisor will inform you.
